Richard Hunter documented vegetation plots associated with studies at Wahmonie townsite in 1978. On the eastern side of Wahmonie, the undisturbed vegetation consists of a Larrea tridentata (creosote bush) and Coleogyne ramosissima (blackbrush) assemblage. Because the winter of 1978 had record high rainfall, the biomass of annuals in the foreground is extremely large. (Richard Hunter) |
