Revegetation of the townsite has continued, although many of the Atriplex were killed during the 1989 drought. The walls of the major buildings have been stabilized, but the walls of the former brothel, made of a poor concrete, have continued to deteriorate. Although not readily apparent from the revegetation in the view, several of the roads that were open in 1986 are closed in 1998, allowing further recovery of the townsite. (Dominic Oldershaw)
