| The repeat photograph documents revegetation in the previously denuded street and housepads. Most of the vegetation in the foreground are short-lived species such as Hymenoclea salsola(cheesebush), with scattered intermediate-lived species such as Ephedra nevadensis (Mormon tea), Grayia spinosa (hopbush), and Lycium andersoni (Anderson wolfberrry). No Larrea tridentata (creosote bush) appear in the foreground, although a line of Larrea appear in the middle distance. Unfortunately, the site where these Larrea are growing was either blocked by houses or people in the 1908 view, limiting interpretation of whether these Larrea colonized a disturbed site or are in an undisturbed site. | ||
