| Vegetation has grown densely into the former streets. This part of the sprawling Greenwater townsite is seldom visited, and soil compaction has been greatly reduced. The vegetation consists of Hymenoclea, Ericameria cooperi (Cooper’s goldenbush), and Ephedra. In 1985, a photograph matched to the 1908 view (not shown) had many Sphaeralcea individuals in the foreground, but drought in 1989 apparently reduced this species to a relatively rare status in the townsite.
